Hello, I am William Henry Clerke IV. Since 1991, I have been successfully representing clients from the greater Atlanta area. My aggressive strategies and focus on protecting my clients’ rights have earned me the reputation as Marietta’s best criminal attorney. With a comprehensive understanding of Georgia criminal law, I have the experience to analyze and represent even the most complex cases.

I have extensive experience in practicing domestic and personal injury law. I am currently a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Atlanta Bar Association, Cobb County Bar Association, Gwinnett County Bar Association, and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. I have extensive trial experience in civil and criminal cases. My ability to examine and successfully present such cases has enabled me to become one of the top criminal defense lawyers in Marietta. My unwavering determination to protect my clients’ rights has recently led to the reversal of two murder convictions. I also have experience in civil and criminal appellate work.

Education

I graduated from Georgia’s senior military school, North Georgia College, and State University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1991, I received the degree of Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law located in Atlanta, Georgia. While in law school, I participated in an internship that introduced me to trial work with the Federal Public Defender Program, which involved federal criminal trials and appeals. I have also appeared as a guest on the Layman’s Lawyer.

After graduating from law school, I became a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Atlanta Bar Association, Cobb County Bar Association, and the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. I am licensed to practice in all Georgia State and Federal Courts.
